I signed up for improv classes at The Hashtag Comedy Co. in Columbus because I wanted to try something new and a little terrifying.
Turns out I've always been a bit silly in my own way, and improv just gave it a stage. I'm now in Level 5, the final level, with our class showcase coming up this December.
What improv taught me

Accept what you're handed, then add something. Works on stage and in life.

Make your partner look good.
The scene is better when you're both shining.

Half-doing a bit is scarier than going for it.
